Makes me proud to be a liberal Democrat!It may be 200 years late, but how soon do you think the Repubs will nominate someone other than an old, straight, white guy? I'm looking forward to this contest......

I dunno. McLame might go for Condi as Veep, have a massive heart attack, and catapult the first black woman into the highest office in the land...and then won't we Dems look like assholes.
That's assuming, of course, that America is feeling particularly suicidal and decides to elect the Crazy Old Man in the first place, which I hope to dear God is not even possible.
I think that the more the media mentions that Obama is the first black democratic prez nominee, the longer and further this country will be divided along racial lines. You never hear that the European-American John McCain has won the Republican nomination.
Then the daily talk about Reverend Wright and Father Pflager lengthens the racial divide.
How about U.S. Senator (D-Ill.)
Obama has won the Democatic nomination to be president ?
