A Tree Grows In Waco

The Tree of Life is a fascinating cinematic failure. It's boring, compelling, frustrating, and moving. And waaaayyyy too long. One critic defended it by saying it's like life. I might do that, too...if I wuz inclined to defend life. Still, I gotta admire a film in which the dominant reoccurring image is one human being lovingly touching another.

But there's no way that I can recommend this film. Or life.
